Biography

Heather Green鈥檚 poetry collection听No Other Rome听(2021) was published in the Akron Poetry Series. Her poems have appeared in听Bennington Review, Denver Quarterly, Everyday Genius,听the听New Yorker, and elsewhere. She鈥檚 the author of the chapbooks听No Omen听and听The Match Array.

Her translation of Tristan Tzara鈥檚听Noontimes Won, published in 2018 by . Her translation of Tzara鈥檚 Guide to the Heart Rail was released in 2017 in a limited-run art edition, with images by artist Pete Sculte, by Goodmorning Menagerie. Her translations of Tzara鈥檚 work have appeared AGNI, , ,听Ploughshares, and several anthologies, including , from McSweeney鈥檚 Books.

Green was the recipient of the inaugural Albertine Translation Prize in Fiction for her in-progress translation from French:听The Woman and the Falcon, by Isabelle Sorente, and her translation of Sarah Manigne鈥檚听Leaving Madrid听won the 2021/2 French Voices grant. Her recent writing on poetry and translation appears in听Hopscotch Translation,听in 2021. Green served as a longlist judge for the NBCC鈥檚 inaugural Barrios Prize for a book in translation and currently serves as a juror for the National Translation Award in poetry.

Green holds an MA in literature from the University of Nebraska and an MFA in creative writing (poetry) from Boston University. She works as an Assistant Professor in the InterArts program in the School of Art at 性视界传媒.
