Biography
Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, Millie Langford earned her BA in Theater from Mason. In 2006, she headed to Chicago to train at the School at Steppenwolf; an Intensive Ensemble Training Program, where she had the fortunate opportunity to study with founding member Jeff Perry (Scandal), Alexandra Billing (Transparent) and Amy Morton (Chicago Fire) to name a few. Chicago remained a mainstay for the next nine years where she worked consistently with reputable companies as Steppenwolf Theatre, Milwaukae Repertory Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Victory Gardens, Next Theatre, American Theatre Company, Chicago Dramatists, Timeline Theatre; where she's also a proud company听member and many of the intimate black box theatres.
Mildred's television and film credits include the upcoming pilot听Dimensional Shift, a supporting role in the听full-length, romantic comedy听Analysis Paralysis, as an empathetic therapist helping a young writer grapple with听his anxiety disorder, a recurring and a guest star on the second season of听Magic Funhouse!听and听Chicago MED,听Masters of Sex, BOSS听and听Market Value. Her independent film appearances include;听Your Beautiful Baby,听Concrete Rose听and听Egg Day; both currently making their way through the film festival circuit,听Six Hour Pass,听Kendra and Obi, Dracula's Mother听and听Lot Lizards.
More recently, she has appeared in听Gunshot Medley: Part 1听by Dionna Michelle Daniel; which was a co-production with Rogue Machine Theatre and Collaborative Artists Bloc and Richard Wright's听Native Son听at Antaeus Theatre; which was adapted for the stage by award-winning playwright Nambi E. Kelley and directed by Ovation nominee Andi Chapman. She is currently听appearing in the dramatic comedy,听Commune,听which premiered on YouTube in January 2019.
