Our series really gets rolling in October with three great performances on the horizon.听We鈥檒l bet you鈥檝e never seen anything quite like (10/23)! This wondrous, wordless, and whimsical performance features large-scale masks, clever puppetry, and inventive use of shadow and light. The troupe will be celebrating 50 years of performances with the return of some of their greatest hits and characters like 鈥淭ube Man鈥 and 鈥淐lay Masks鈥 as well as the next generation of silent wonders that will mesmerize the whole family. Leading into the following weekend is 鈥淨ueen of Ranchera Music,鈥 (10/29). Cuevas has been an international icon of Mexican music since she was a teenager, and has won both a GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY Award. An impassioned performer, her striking voice evokes life鈥檚 deepest sorrows, greatest joys, and most profound longings.
And finally, don鈥檛 miss International flamenco megastar (10/30). Heralded as 鈥渢he greatest flamenco dancer of this new century鈥 by听The New York Times, Farruquito鈥檚 mission in life is to share the profound poetry and freedom of this form of dance. With a stellar cast of dancers, live musicians, and vocalists, Farruquito鈥檚 tangos, buler铆as, and alegr铆as bring the expressive beauty of flamenco to life!
