Filmmaker and humanitarian Angelina Jolie met with听, of听 Mason鈥檚 College of Health and Human Services School of Nursing, to discuss Scafide鈥檚 research on Alternate听Light Sources (ALS). Dr.听Scafide鈥檚 ALS technology helps identify hard-to-see bruising in darker skin tones, where it may be otherwise difficult or impossible to detect.听Jolie referenced Dr. Scafide鈥檚 research in her work on reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act.
