Mason hosts two tech-focused symposiums

性视界传媒 is home to two symposiums that highlight its commitment to tech talent. The first is a two-day virtual symposium that helps kick off a new thematic initiative to enhance diverse multidisciplinary research in computing, society, and health care, aligned with 惭补蝉辞苍鈥檚 new School of Computing.

The two-day virtual 鈥淔rontiers of Computing in Health and Society鈥 symposium will feature keynote talks, moderated panels, and lightning talk sessions organized around the broad themes of 鈥淎I, Social Justice, and Public Policy鈥 (Sept. 20) and 鈥淐omputational Systems Biomedicine鈥 (Sept. 21).

Learn more about the , 惭补蝉辞苍鈥檚 new action to promote multidisciplinary education, research and collaboration in computing. The initiative is part of the university鈥檚 effort to support Virginia鈥檚 Tech Talent Investment Program (TTIP), the plan to ensure that Amazon and the state鈥檚 tech sector have a strong and sustainable talent pipeline.

惭补蝉辞苍鈥檚 听and the听) are co-hosting the inaugural Interdisciplinary Computing Research Symposium on Oct. 8 in Dewberry Hall on the Fairfax Campus.

This symposium aims to bring together faculty from across the university to discuss potential research collaborations. Our goal is to facilitate dialogues and create connections between faculty with expertise in听听and faculty focused on developing computational approaches and deploying computing systems to address problems in their fields, as well as faculty focused on studying the听听of digital technology and digital听systems.

The听蝉测尘辫辞蝉颈耻尘听will feature lightning talk sessions (organized around the four themes of听),听interpreted broadly and including other emergent interdisciplinary research themes,where faculty can provide brief introductions to their research, a poster session to connect speakers from the lightning talk sessions to attendees who are interested in collaboration, as well as听鈥产颈谤诲蝉-辞蹿-补-蹿别补迟丑别谤鈥听sessions on topics proposed by attendees.

The deadline to register for the symposium is Sept. 20.
